The Khmer Institute's Student Sponsorship Program facilitates the distribution of
funds (donations) to impoverished students who study at institutions
of higher learning in Cambodia.
Available for viewing are pictures and basic information about applicants who
have qualified for this program. They are categorized by major and listed in
alphabetical order by province. Regrettably, we are not able to post completed
application forms and personal statements on this website due to limited space.
Your donation will be used to purchase students
items such as books and pens, and/ or spent to help individual
students with special needs (for example, in Spring 2000 we paid for prescription
eyeglasses for one student who had extremely poor vision and could not afford them).
Please consider assisting these students with a tax-deductable donation to the
Khmer Institute student sponsorship fund. The cost of tuition plus books range
from $250 to $300 per semester; therefore, as little as $20 can go a long way
to helping students complete their studies.
