constructed during the reign of
Jayavarman VII (1181-1220)
|
| During his
illustrious reign, King Jayavarman VII commissioned the
construction of numerous hospitals, libraries, temples, rest houses,
and reservoirs. He built bridges and paved roads within his empire
that extended from Bangkok in present-day Thailand to Prey Nokor
(Saigon) in present-day Vietnam. The Praptos bridge below was one
such bridge that helped connect King Jayavarman's vast empire. |
